Ficou acertado que Poetas e compositores maranhenses estão convidados a participar do concurso para escolha do samba da Beija-Flor de Nilópolis, para o carnaval de 2012, com o enredo “São Luís – O poema encantando do Maranhão”.
A disputa em São Luís vai acontecer em clima de festival no dia 8 de setembro (aniversário de 399 anos da cidade) e corresponderá a uma semifinal do concurso. Da Ilha, sairão três compositores classificados para a final, em Nilópolis, no Rio de Janeiro. As eliminatórias cariocas começarão em agosto e a grande final será em outubro.
Entre os integrantes da Beija-Flor presentes à coletiva, o diretor geral de Carnaval e Harmonia da escola, Luiz Fernando “Laíla” Ribeiro do Carmo, e o carnavalesco Fran Sérgio. Os secretários de Estado de Cultura, Luis Bulcão, e de Comunicação Social, Sérgio Macedo, também participaram do encontro com a imprensa. Laíla ressaltou que na escolha do samba serão analisadas letra, melodia e entrosamento rítmico. “Acreditamos que teremos grandes surpresas no concurso maranhense”, disse Laíla. “Estamos felizes por termos São Luís como enredo da escola, uma cidade cheia de encantos e magia”, completou.
Luís Bulcão destacou que esta é uma grande oportunidade para os compositores locais. “Tenho certeza que daqui sairá um grande samba, com melodias e letras de alto nível”, assinalou. Sérgio Macedo falou sobre o encantamento da escola pela capital maranhense. “A Beija-Flor se apaixonou pela nossa história e cultura. Com certeza, vai transformar tudo isso em um grande carnaval”, ressaltou.
A comitiva da escola está em São Luís desde segunda-feira (27) e vai permanecer até quinta-feira (30). Também integraram o grupo os carnavalescos Ubiratan Silva, Victor Santos, André Cesari e a pesquisadora Bianca Behrends. Durante a estada em São Luís, o grupo visita arraiais e conhece melhor a cultura maranhense.
O enredo da escola, de acordo com o carnavalesco, começa com a colonização e as três coroas que cobiçaram esse solo: França, Holanda e Portugal. Momento que é tratado como a ganância, destacando ainda as lendas e histórias desse novo mundo.
Logo depois, será enfocada a vinda dos negros africanos, dos navios negreiros. Serão retratados o martírio por que passaram e as belezas da raça que completou, com o branco e o índio, a população da cidade. Nesse momento, também será destacada a religiosidade e o folclore, com destaque para o bumba-meu-boi.
As lendas da cidade também serão enfocadas. “São histórias que deixam a nossa imaginação cada vez mais aguçada, sendo esse um carro alegórico que promete muito”, revelou Fran Sérgio. A Jamaica Brasileira, música, poesia e literatura serão retratadas em um dos carros que fará referência a nomes como Ferreira Gullar, Gonçalves Dias, Alcione, Zeca Baleiro e Rita Ribeiro, entre outros.
O desfile será encerrado com uma grande homenagem a São Luís, por meio de casarões, azulejos, ruas e vielas, nas quais vai acontecer um grande baile de carnaval, com fofão e blocos de rua. Este último carro trará Joãozinho Trinta, em uma homenagem a esse maranhense que tanto contribuiu para o carnaval da Beija-Flor e do Brasil.
Diante da falta de informação, sugiro aos incautos, principalmente aqueles que desconhecem como funciona o carnaval carioca, que é o principal folclore do Rio de Janeiro, que leia novamente a matéria que fiz sobre o assunto: “Veja como as patrocinadoras do Carnaval do Rio agem em todos os aspectos visando o lucro”. O Carnaval carioca tem patrocinadores fixos, que investem milhões e depois tem uma rentabilidade imensa. Aqui no Maranhão é diferente, todos esperam do governo, porém não surge um político para incentivar a iniciativa privada investir também, visto que a mesma lucra muito com os festejos juninos.
